Collapsing
isolated

Crossed a small E/NE facing meadow between glades at 7,600’ wherein we felt a substantial whumpf and collapse around us. No cracking was observed. Out of curiosity, we decided to dig down to take a look at what layer the collapse might have occurred on. Two layers of concern were found and after an ECT we noted ECTP4 with a sudden planar fracture quality 25cm down from the surface supposedly on the old/new snow interface. Guided trip with Montana Alpine Guide clients.
