Quick report
My partner and I went to ski the north facing gullies above Dudley Creek "Dud 4" and "Dud 5". We encountered a set skin track from a few folks that had been skiing the zone during and post the most recent storm. On the way up we noticed significantly less snow than what people have been reporting around Beehive, probably because of its lower elevation and some heat compaction. On the eastern edge of Dud 4, about 30ft below the ridge was a fresh crown from sometime yesterday. A snowboard track traversed below the ridgeline, into the center of a depression, just below the crown and likely triggered the avalanche on themselves. We didn't feel safe to go onto the slope to preform a full beacon check, but got no pings from the ridge and could see a solo track out of the debris (one track in, one track out). The avalanche was about 6-9 inches deep, with a crown length of 200ft. The debris pile came to a rest just below treeline, 300ft below the crown. It had a micro western aspect, but in general north facing. It appears there was a buried crown from another avalanche before or during the storm, just to the skiers left (no indication if this was natural or skier triggered).
