• Inverted air temperatures with a minimal overnight refreeze above 6000’. Hard re-freeze on the Canyon floor. • Warm conditions and wet snow surfaces on sunny aspects. Shaded aspects were moist on the surface but dry a few cm underneath. • Little to no snow on the southerly slopes up to almost 5000’, 5-15” snow depths at 5500’ and about 45-60” above 6400’. • Dug two snow pits: o 6700’ on a SE aspect. Snow depth was 47”. 4” recent snow (wet) on top of the Jan. facet/crust/facet combo (also wet). ECTN13 at this interface. Also, ECTN27 13” down from surface on top of an older melt-freeze crust. o 6700’ on a N aspect. Snow depth was 57”. 6” recent snow (moist on surface, dry underneath) on top of the Jan. facet/crust/facet combo. ECTN21 and CT18, Q2 on this interface. Also, CT25 Q3 28” down from surface on top of an older melt-freeze crust. • No audible collapses or shooting cracks. A few rollerballs initiated with ski cuts on steep sun-exposed slopes.

• Mostly clear skies, no precipitation, light westerly winds with moderate gusts. • Overnight lows only reached the high-30s °F at 7000’, the Canyon floor dropped to the high-20s °F. Daytime highs pushed 50 °F, even up above 6000’.

• A few small (D1) wet loose on steep, sun-exposed slopes above 6000’. No slab avalanches observed.
