Quick report

Good cold snow and skiing still exists on N-NE-E aspects, especially above 7500'. Widespread surface hoar pretty much everywhere. Riming on trees near ridgeline suggest winds shifting from NW to SW last night.

Clouds (X) and cold (8F) in AM gave way to SCT skies. It looked to be snowing to our SE on and off throughout the day. Didn't get too warm out there in the PM.

Snowpack

Recent snow has settled out from 30-35cm on Wednesday to 25cm today, and become more dense (F+ to 4F-). This still sits upon our NSF layer of concern -- no crust interface present on N-NE-E. Unreactive hand shears show that the new snow lacks slab quality at this location. Pit dug at 8700' NE aspect. PST 45/100 END down 25cm on NSF layer. ECTN3 on same layer. Widespread SH growth throughout the zone, about 5mm tall and everywhere except some ridgeline areas.
