Quick report
Spent the day climbing to 7200' (outside of the forecast area) in the Southern Flathead Range (Spotted Bear country). Glassed up multiple glide crack openings and a few recent glide avalanches on the leeward side of the Flathead Range. •Snowpack above 7000' was found on leeward, or N facing aspects ranging from 4-8" in places. Refrozen isothermal snow. •Cornice development was present along ridgeline. Snow was supportable on foot (refrozen, moist snow). •Significant rime buildup on trees above 7000' •Moderate W winds were transporting snow on the highest peaks (Holland/Pentagon/Silvertip/Swan) where a slight dusting of snow was present
