Group experienced many widespread collapsing in low elevation terrain. HS40-75cm. Very stout melt freeze layer in middle of pack. Was just enough snow to travel up from Sawtelle road parking, but watch for ice under new snow. Did not snow as much as forecasted. Tests performed: CTV, ECTP 10 @27cm from ground. Boot Pen 25cm.
