Quick report

Exited Bridger Bowl ridgetop and skied north before returning to the area. With winds from the west at 20 mph, gusting to 50 mph in the afternoon, I was curious how much loading was active in the heat (35°F ridgetop). Minimal snow tranport was observed although high winds had clearly moved snow before today's warm up. Cornices were 1-4 ft above the apron and stubborn, glued on pillows were prevalent below. Cloud cover kept the snow surface cool above 8000' but travel was rather sticky below. No sings of instability were observed. A quick profile and CT suggest good stability in the snowpack at this location. Two crusts are worth keeping an eye on when loaded.
