Quick report
We observed no obvious signs of instability throughout the day. We skied north and southeast aspects. With the spatially variable persistent slab problem in mind, we dug a pit on a SE aspect at 6700 ft. Our Extended Column Tests (x2) resulted in propagation across the full width of the column with moderate force (ECTP11) on a later of facets sitting on a crust 35cm from the snow surface (see images). We chose to ski low angle slopes without rollovers given these results and previous observations in the nearby vicinity.
