We decided to descend into the area known as chicken bones just skiers right off ghoulies peak. Before heading down, we dug our pit on a southeast facing aspect at about 18-20 degrees 6400 ft, just above our objective which was lower angle. We observed a ECTN23. Since it didn’t propagate, we felt good to give it a go. Our group heard two woomphs. The first while above a rollover we were careful not to go over at about 6200 ft. We changed direction and traversed across more shallow terrain the rest of the way down, but the turns towards the top felt nice. There was a small bit of crust from what seemed like north winds. The snow below felt dense, like it was becoming more consolidated. The second woomph was felt at about 5800 ft while we were following a skin track that lead us to an opening below the runout where the first woomph was felt. We broke trail to a safer/less exposed way out.
