A few photos of surface hoar and low-angle fast snow riding.

Snow stability is good. 2mm basal facets exist but are dormant and nonreactive to testing.

The weakest snow is the deteriorating snow surface in shaded terrain.

Snowpack

We found a variety a snow surface conditions depending on elevation and mostly aspect. Anything touched by the sun was capped with a sun crust of varying thicknesses. Shady slopes harbored good size surface hoar (1") and near surface facets below. We found excellent riding conditions on fast, loud, and shallow snow on lower angle slopes in the shade.
