The objective for the day was to look for new slab development from NW winds. •overall new surface slabs were reactive •surface snow wetting •pockets of snow that stayed drier appeared to have reactively and propagation potential on multiple aspects, ie small skier triggered avalanche in Lobster Claw no cracking noticed until above connection cache once within sheltered area within new snow

Temperatures higher than forecasted and partly sunny skies added solar gain to snowpack at lower elevations and lessened as elevation increased. Ravine was in and out of the clouds throughout most of the day and started to become mostly in the clouds as storm system approached.
Snowpack
•ECT showed collapsing with easy to moderate failure but no propagation found. •CT showed same results •Repeated ECT showed same results as first test. •Top 10cm of snowpack was moistening snow on top of dry snow •sheltered soft slab above pencil hard layer was found •pocketed distribution in NE aspects observed
