Quick report
A bit of forced weight training on the way up Tucks trail (bring your hiking boots), but was able to skin after the last footbridge. Got to the bowl around 12, attempted Left Gully and skied the Chute, not totally skiable from top/snowfields but a good run from as far up as possible. Entire right side of the bowl is scoured from wind and rained out-melting ice due caused streams to flow again and undermine much of snowpack. Rained all morning on the way up until about 11, with no further precipitation while I was there (left around 2). Rain and warm temp of the day seemed to temporarily stabilize snowpack, along with little wind no transport was possible. Seemed like cracking towards the top of the chute but discovered that it did not go deeper than the developing rain crust. Hand shears showed no consolidated slab movement in the wet snow. As I climbed up snow proved less breakable as ice crust developed (could not make it up Left Gully without crampons or axe), but definitely skiable. Steady small ice fall all the way up the Chute as the flows at the top melted. Bring your rock skis for the Sherburne it's mostly rained out but some good slush turns and creek jumps where there's enough snow is worth the ski out.
