Dug a pit at base of Saddle Slide. 1F over 4F over P. CT no failure. Total snow depth 2m +. Continued up the slide on firm snow, avoiding pockets of wind drift. Hand shear tests conducted further up the slide showed well-bonded planar release. Top ~20 m corniced and heavily wind drifted.
