Quick report

Sunny and clear morning above the inversion with calm winds around 8:00AM. Colder than I expected at the top of the pass. Powder Reserves snow surface was firm and crusty, with frozen chunks around old tracks. Snow softened as you get down into the creek at the bottom of Edelweiss. Large surface hoar crystals (1-2cm) present in the creek bed at the base of Edelweiss. Traveling up the skin track, snow is generally still soft and graupel-y on the eastern aspects, and pretty baked on anything remotely south-facing. Snow in the bowl still soft. Noticed widespread surface hoar, even more so in the usual spots, this will be a layer to track when it begins snowing again. No signs of instability
