Togwotee, Angle

The snowpack at Togwotee right now is simple: The new snow from this week's storm is settling into a more cohesive slab and is sitting on a variety of weak snow, including facets and surface hoar. Warming temperatures are contributing to this and will make the overlying slab more sensitive. Winds are continuing to redistribute snow in exposed areas.

At 9400 feet on a west aspect, I observed propagation in an extended column test - HS 22 inches (55 cm) ECTP3 down 9 inches at the new/old snow interface. Surface hoar was observed at the interface.
