Observed variable surface conditions in the Harp Mountain zone. One recent avalanche was observed on a NW aspect of Harp, which we suspected to be a wind slab. While traversing along the N/NW ridge of Harp to gain the middle rib, the third skier in the group triggered a D2 wet loose avalanche on a S facing aspect at 4300 ft. The S face felt completely isothermal at and likely above 4300 ft. While skiing down the middle rib, we observed collapsing and shooting cracks on S low angle terrain features.
