Remotely triggered a WIDE persistent slab avalanche. It ripped ridge to ridge across the entire top of Eddies Bowl. We had tried to make the summit on the south ridge but turn around due to cracking. Dropped into the lower part of the bowl well below the steeper zones. Zipped across the face *on skis without skins*, looked back and heard the largest WUMP of my life and the whole thing just went. Luckily out of the debris zone. Definitely a sobering event to witness. Crown was several feet. Seems like the layer that went through all that cold last week broke under several feet of recent snow
