Quick report
- Collapsing
- Observed
Rain turned to graupel around 4500 Heavy 6-10” at 4600’, on the skin up. Ok the ski out anything below 5k wanted to slide or turn into roller balls. Intermittent gusty winds and intense graupel storms gave way to clearing skis and less wind. Lots of wind transport, one hollow collapse on open East facing terrain but couldn’t get any propagation in my pit. Recent avalanches on north face of elk and south facing chutes in north Dickey. Judging from debris looked like new/wet snow Submitted is an old crown for above Dickey lake, impressive width!
