Quick report
A thin layer of hoar atop the storm snow made for some fast turns. The storm snow was not cohesive. Some sloughing observed in steeper sections. Saw some old debris (covered by recent snow) on various aspects. Only instability noted today was human related and involved sliding sideways, backwards, and definitely downhill whenever traversing or angling up steeper slopes with the fluffy storm snow resting atop a stout slippery bugger of a crust.

Temps: 20 when leaving the car, 34 when returning (3pm). Sun was in and out throughout the day. Calm.
Snowpack
At 7200’ HST: 170cm. The storm snow totaled around 10-20cm up in this zone with a pencil hard crust just beneath it. The stout 3-4” crust is about 30cm down and is relatively bulletproof (aka knife hard) and requires a saw to penetrate.
