Recent avalanche observed. Another 4-6" of snow overnight with sustained heavy wind loading from easterly winds. Winds clocked to the west in the early afternoon and the intense wind loading continued. Also had an audible collapse on the Canyon floor under a new wind slab. Likely failed into the impressive layer of facets beneath the slab.

Westerly winds really picked up shortly after noon after a brief lull this morning.

Obs at 0900 this morning. Was not there yesterday at sundown. From the pic and binocs I'd estimate max crown depth nearing 1 m. I cannot tell how wide it was. But suspect it ran farther than I could see from below. Also likely filled back in with more drifting snow.
