Quick report

We found ~10 cm of new cold snow above 6k' with a generally well-consolidated slab overlying a facet/crust combo over varying depths dependent on elevation/aspect. Entry and exit is still a bit schwacky due to low snow, but was expected and par the course. We dug a pair of pits with similar ECTP results with hard force on the facet/crust interface (SE and NE at 6550' and 6890' respectively) below the well consolidated slab of recent snow. We observed no obvious signs of instability, avoided slopes >35* and skied SE, E and NE aspects during our casual tour. The skiing was surprisingly good above 6k' and predictably damp but doable below that.
