Observation: Logan Peak

Skinned to Logan peak on Sunday. Providence canyon snowline is at the top of the bike trail and deep slush. Coverage on the trail is still somewhat decent but not for long can you take a snowmobile. We took the snow road to avoid sticky snow and to gain the providence peak ridge. Noticed wet snow on all aspects and elevations and heavy powder on the west side of Logan peak. No tracks on the east faces and we stayed away winding and warm temps were the red flags for today. Poor skiing conditions on mid and low elevations.

Until things cool down enough or we get clear cold nights the snowpack is unstable and riding conditions off trail are poor.

It is also important to note that popular trailheads should be avoided especially on the weekends to practice proper social distancing. And try not to get your car or truck stuck if you can't help it.
