Beautiful day to be out in the mountains. Felt very warm all day long, but significantly cooler in the shade. I found some soft snow, good skiing, and various crust/ facet sandwiches that seemed to vary spatially with every step (some of them pictured below). The good news is that it seems that our future problem layers may lie in the top of the snow pack, vs the base. The bad news is that it seems that most of everything is weakening between crust layers.
