Quick report
Headed up Scotchman to have a look at things. On the S aspect, full coverage above 6200’, 6-8” in spots. Snow below 6000’ S aspect was melting in the afternoon. North facing gullies are filling in nicely. I dug a profile at 6480’ WSW aspect’. There was a solid 5cm of rain crust at the top. The snow below that seemed well consolidated though, 1F. There was consistent rime on the trees from this elevation up. Hardly any wind with a breeze at the ridge. Clouds & fog had the peaks socked in, but that lifted and clouds broke up, taking it from mostly cloudy to partly cloudy.
