Snowpack

Dug a pit on a SE aspect at 8500 feet. ECTX. Dug in a wind scoured location with a very thin and faceted snowpack.  Old snow was broken up by multiple crusts that were bridging over the large facet chains.

Previous wet loose activity observed at 6200' on a S aspect

Recent wet loose (very slow moving and shallow) on a SE aspect at 7300'

Slow moving dry loose on a NNE aspect @ 8400'

No cracking within new snow and now wind slabs encountered. Travel was very easy on supportable crusts on SE through SW aspects up to 7500'. After that travel was still pretty darn easy but was soft snow (3-6 inches) on top of a supportable crust.
