East aspect St Regis basin ~5800ft elevation 25 degree slope Total snow depth 40 to 50cm Dug 3 pits all with similar ECT results of ECTPx ~2” crust below new snow that was supportive on skis but broke through on foot. Some round grain loos faciting imeaditley below the crust but overall snow below crust stayed together and was a cohesive block. New snow seemed to be well bonded to crust.
