Quick report
Rain line was at 1600’, new snow was 1-8” deep gradually getting deeper as we climbed. Did not observe wind slab. First lap was good quality skiing and soft snow, second lap was warm sticky snow and lots of roller balls. Things started to heat up on the South facing slope around 1PM. It was very wet and loose as we skied out at the end of the day. Dug a pit at 3,200’ South facing slope, ECTX. Found the surface hoar but was unreactive with various tests and test slopes along the way.
Avalanche
Saw fresh D1 wet loose debris that happened between first and second lap on the south face of Magnum between PMS and Super Bowl. Could not see the start zone from where we were and due to low valley clouds moving in. Saw a couple of fresh glide slides on Seattle Ridge from the road.
