Quick report

During a SAR callout, an avalanche was triggered by snowmobile riders while traversing across bottom of cliff band on the way to the patient. Seemed to be a combination of hangfire falling and the slope sliding. We saw multiple smaller slides in the same area that were less than 24 hours old.

The area had seen extended snowmobile activity in the hours and minutes before the final trigger. Tracks do not mean safety. We were lucky no one was caught in it, and that we did not trigger another one.
