Quick report
Toured up to the top of the ridge above Tincan Common. Around 18" of new snow from the past couple days. New snow was dry as well as heavily wind affected above treeline. Snow was quite wet lower down in the trees and made for difficult skiing. There was around 16" of wet snow in the meadows near the parking lot. Dug one snowpit around 2,800' and found the Oct crust 3' deep. No concerning results in stability tests and snowpack seems pretty stable and homogenous. Total snow depth above treeline seemed like 6-7' deep, impressive. There was a blown in crown in Hippie bowl. Guessing a storm slab avalanche from the strong winds/snow the day before.
