Snowpack

Instability Comment

Lots of wind this morning, traveled from white pine over to maybird and backed off more aggressive objectives due to the amount of wind and obvious snow loading. Most terrain was wind affected. Observed cracking on the slopes while descending on a west aspect both aspects were relatively reactive and the cracks propagated a fair ways. East and west aspects seemed to be crossloading up high with minor differences in aspect making a huge difference in stability and reactivity. Wind seems to have died down but did notice a lot of spindrift and a small slide coming down above the hogum z right ice climb.

I think this wind spiked the danger up to considerable where snow was loading. Something to watch out for.
