Above 7000 feet there was about a foot and a half of dense new snow. It was overcast all day, and around 2:30 it started snowing at a rate of 2 cm per hour. We observed isolated cracking in the storm snow in drifts and on unsupported rollovers. Cracks did not propagate more than a foot or so. On the drive down the snow/rain line was around 3500 feet.
