Audible wumfs and wind stiffened slabs on SW aspects around 6k’ led to our second bail of the day as we tried to poke up towards Platinum Peak a different way. Pronounced 4-6” 1F wind slab atop softer F+ snow on specific cross loaded terrain features. Noticeable warming was effecting snow density throughout the day. Occasional strong gusts swirling in the basin but predominantly mild winds throughout the day.
