Rec day out on Wisherd Ridge today. I only observed minimal cracking in wind transported snow. There is a faceting melt freeze crust about midway down in the snowpack. There was approximately 8" of new snow at middle and upper elevations from the last 24 hours. A lot of snow had melted at lower elevations by the end of the day.

Snowpack
The snow depth at 7000' on an east aspect was 140cm. We dug a quick pit and found a faceting melt freeze crust about midway down in the snowpack. We did not get results in an extended column test (ECTX). Lingering wind slabs were unreactive.
