Quick report

We dug a pit at 7800 ft but did not do a CT or ECT. NE aspect and slope angle about 34 degrees. Temp of 19 degrees and winds of 20-30 mph. No significant layers in the top 1 m. Hardness: fist down to 40 cm, then four fingers to 60 cm, then one finger. Felt a harder layer down 150 cm with the probe. Snow depth of 290 cm! Ridge and open bowls at the top of the mountain had some wind scouring but did not see substantial wind loading. Skiing was great at 6000-7500 ft, where snow was more protected. Mostly cloudy with no new snow.
