Quick report
- Cracking
- isolated
It was snowing S2 on average all morning. There were ~10-20cm of fresh, light snow in the trees in the valley and ~15-20cm through Big Trees. On Draft Dodger, we found 20-30cm of new snow with increasing wind effect on all observed aspects as we got higher and more exposed on the ridge. We noted textured snow and cracking isolated to beneath our skis. Beneath the new snow on all aspects and nearly all elevations we traveled was a stout, frozen crust, measured at ~2.5cm halfway up Big Trees. We observed no new avalanches (just the old debris on the Apron).
