Signs up instability- Wind slab conditions-crust on top, wind blown texture, signs of charcoal on the snow coming off of trees Experienced an isolated "whump" or collapse on our tour. 7300 ft elevation. East facinng slope. No new snow. Total snow 86 cm. Weather- 32 degrees F, calm winds, cloudy- Travelled cautiously during an avalanche safety course. Stability is increasing.
