Quick report

Pit dug by Brundage Mountain Ski Patrol. CTM and ECTNM on the new snow from midweek last week in the upper 25cm of the snowpack. CTH and ECTNH between the two ice layers and amongst numerous melt-freeze crusts with intermingled faceted layers from the late January warm cycle. The primary concern lies with the potential for sluff from the new snow. The layers sandwiched between the ice layers have the potential to facet in the future. Worth keeping in mind the early season faceted layer that remains and has the potential to reawaken later in the season.
