Quick report
First report. So take it with a grain of salt :) We started at 2pm and finished at 4pm. Dug a a pit at 8800 feet. NE aspect. Neither column test or ECT showed any instabilities. We did find a weak layer about 40cm deep after hitting shovel pretty hard. Didn’t propagate in ECT. Was about 4 inches of new lighter snow on top of the older crust. We crossed over to more of a N aspect 200 feet higher and we saw a significant increase in lighter new snow on top of the crust. Was about a foot deep. Didn’t see any wind slabs, cracking or any signs of instability top to bottom.
