Quick report

No significant avalanche concern on our moderate terrain. Snowslide avi paths showed signs of loose slides yesterday or last night. Stable right side up snow. Last night’s 7cm came in with little wind. 40cm ski penetration on the woods up track. Earlier wind events kept the skiing to the top 30 cm on the ridges. Pole and probe penetration revealed no discernible buried crusts for 100cm.

Snowpack

Surprisingly good skiing after tough uphilling. I think the persistent slab is buried deep enough to not react to a skier’s weight on our >32 degree slopes.

Avalanche

Glide slide on Slick Rock pealed off to the bedrock. 65 degree slope. Impressive and discouraging to ice climbers.
