Incline Peak

We toured around Incline Peak to make snowpack observations today.  We arrived to full dense cloud cover with little signs of the sun and mild temperatures.  Northerly aspects held soft unconsolidated snow above around 9200'.  As we dropped below, softer snow was still present, but was mixed in with moist and sticky snow.  Descending further, the snow became more wet and even stickier with slow travel.  Recent cloud cover and warm temperatures have held in heat making the previous near surface facets on shaded aspects moist and sticky.  Southerly aspects remained firm at our high point of 9750'.  On our way out at lower elevations below 8800', E-SE aspects had a mixed of breakable and supportable crusts that also became wet and sticky as we got down to around 8400'. 

We saw no signs of instabilities throughout our tour.  We did multiple snowpack tests at a test pit at 9250' on a N aspect.  All tests showed no layers of concern or any weakness near the buried Jan 1 rain crust.
