Quick report

Cracking
isolated
Collapsing
isolated

After a few collapses and some 3-4 meter shooting cracks we decided this would be a great site location for a some snow tests. HS varied but was around 60-70cm. Site location was a north aspect / 9400ft. We ran a couple CTs and 1 ECT. We got CTE (SC) x2 on PWL at bottom of snowpack. ECTP11 on the same layer. Important note: Below tree line and roughly below 9200 ft the PWL was moist and we were NOT getting signs of instability or failures within our hand sheers. Once in open terrain combined with a steeper north facing aspect we then experienced the collapsing and long shooting cracks as well as positive test results in hand sheers.
