Quick report
Traveled from Salt Creek Summit Trailhead (6000') up to ~6600' through Baird's Trees skin track. Dug pit in open meadow in mid elevation trees. Weather was mild, clear in am, mostly cloudy by mid-afternoon, ~20F, light SE winds, no precip, no blowing snow on ridges. No natural avalanche activity observed on steep slopes on Wing Ridge with visibility in am. Very stubborn weak layer under slab (Persistant Slab problem) observed in snowpit that was unresponsive in CT test.
