Quick report

It's still a shallow snowpack but fun riding on roads. Lots of pine needles sticking up in the snow surface made me think that some moderate or strong winds ripped through there in the last 24h. No cracking or collapsing, signs of instability.

Light N winds and single digit temps. No precip mid afternoon.

Snowpack

Snow height ranged from 30-53cm. Foot pen was 30 cm. On a meadow at 3900' NE, I got CTH (SC) x2 on 1-2mm facets below a melt freeze crust and above an ice lens on the ground. Due the icy shallowness, I wasn't able to confidently isolate an ECT.
