Quick report
2ft of new low density snow made for excellent riding conditions today. Near and below treeline, we used numerous very steep test slopes looking for Dry Loose instabilities, but never got sluffs to grow by entraining more snow. Along the ridgeline, we also tested for Wind Slab with no results. Although "tiger striping" patterns were visible on wind loaded surfaces, we saw no evidence of current wind transport today. Winds were calm to light. Along the way home, I noticed the small human triggered avalanche on Elephants Hump, but don't have any more info beyond what I could see from HWY 88.
We used numerous test slopes, both unaffected by wind and previously wind loaded, with no sluffing or cracking observed.Weather
