Quick report

Todays goal was to assess how much snow fell around Lost Trail Pass and how it is bonding to the new snow interface on crusts, near surface facets, and surface hoar. I found 8 inches of low density snow. Along ridgelines there was some evidence of wind transport but not enough to form slabs large enough for propagation. Lost Trail did not get as much snow as the central BR and areas further north so I suspect this area is the far low end of the avalanche hazard spectrum.

No signs of instability observed.
