Quick report

Cracking
isolated

We skied from around 6600' to 7500' feet on mostly SW facing slopes up to 25 degrees. We found 40 cms of new snow and very good riding conditions. We observed several shooting cracks at around 7300' that were triggered by a skier in our group and were around 8 inches deep and 10 feet long. It was a soft wind slab that seemed like it had developed today. The predicted NW winds were accurate (started up around 1pm), and when we were exiting around 4pm we saw extensive blowing snow.
