Quick report

This observation is from the ridge between Gunsight and Angell at 8144 feet. 1057h, overcast sky, light snow, moderate wind. Some blowing snow. Air temp was 24 degrees F. Small cornices on the east side of the ridge. When I was there the wind was blowing from the east, however. I was thinking I would see evidence of windslabs. I did not. Little evidence of wind-texture on the snow, no cracking on convexities. I did not travel or ski aggressively. Any new snow in this area has not coalesced into a cohesive slab. A small cornice kicked off onto the east side of the ridge had no effect on that aspect. I climbed up and skied down the west aspect.
