Quick report
Overnight we received 12 inches of snow at 7,000 ft and snow to the valley floor. Total is over 5 inches of water equivalent precip throughout the last week in the Southern Wallowas. Today we observed multiple storm slab avalanches running on the rain crust bed surface that formed after the rain event early in the week. Above the old snow line, around 6,500 ft and into the alpine, no new naturals were observed.
Avalanche
Observed several D1 and D2 storm slab avalanches below and near treeline.
