Quick report
Toured primarily E/NE terrain between 4000'-5000'. Heavy but penetrable snow up to 4500'. Above 4500', 2" of new snow in the morning, and 6-8" by the afternoon. Compression test result at 4800', E aspect, failed at 2 from the elbow on crust layer approx 10" below surface. Multiple heavy over light layers observed in snowpack. Skiing produce slough with limited propagation and cohesion. Snowpack felt more reactive later in the day with increased wind and snow accumulation.
Avalanche
Avalanche obs 1 - natural, tree bomb during wind gust caused small slope below to release. Approximately 2-3" crown on top of previous rain surface. 5000', E aspect. Avalanche obs 2 - Skier triggered during ski cut. Dry/loose approx 2-4" thick on heavy moist layer below new snow. Ran fast for approx 500'. 4800', E aspect.
