Quick report

Toured a large portion of the Crystal Southback: Party Knoll, Boxcar, King. Observed no active avalanches or recent slides that had not been reported. Significant wind texturing and snow buildup in old skin tracks on NW-facing slopes, particularly in the Three Way Peak area. Noticed surface hoar in a couple of places--the marsh below Party Knoll on the east side and on the south side of the King. Felt like there was a strong inversion in place as Party Knoll was frigid at noon while the summit of the King was balmy at 3pm. East-facing aspects of the King had breakable crust at 3:30pm until around 6200'. All aspects were skiing heavy pow.
